Diwali or Deepavali is popularly known as the Festival of Lights. This is an important five-day festival in Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism, which is between mid October and mid November and the name of the Independence Day itself is a contraction of the word Deepavali, which leads the series of lamps. Independence Day by lighting small clay lamps (diyas) are filled with oil to describe the triumph of good over evil.
