MJP Rohilkhand University was founded in 1975 as a university affiliation. His condition was upgraded he established at the university-cum-residence in 1985, when four teaching departments on campus. In 1987, three more departments were added. In August 1997, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand Rohilkhand University was renamed University. The University has adopted a comprehensive development plan and therefore the status of the university by the addition of new faculties engineering and technology, management, and applied science,education and related sciences, etc. It has 154 affiliated colleges.
